Lower Sitkum DH
New date for the next DH race, 20th of October on Lower Sitkum.
Entry fee is $25, includes food and beverages! Must be a 2024 NCC member, sign up right here: https://www.nelsoncyclingclub.org or at the event. Thanks to Interior Suspension, there's prizes including a Rock Shox Zeb Ultimate!

Gericks 10 Spot Enduro
A super fun Nelson Cycling Club fundraiser! Come on out for some timed descending action once a month until the Finals at the 420th Nelson Fat Tire Festival. Points will be accumulated throughout the season with an overall champ declared at the Fat Tire Festival in September. These events are a show up for some riding and expect no prizes or refreshments. It's a BYOE kinda event (Bring your Own Everything).
Volunteer Trail Maintenance Evening - Gericks Cycle and Ski
Gericks Cycle and Ski put aside the first Tuesday of the month to give back to the trails, running a volunteer maintenance evening. Details are posted each week on the Facebook page.

A super fun Nelson Cycling Club fundraiser! Come on out for some timed descending action once a month until the Finals at the 420th Nelson Fat Tire Festival. Points will be accumulated throughout the season with an overall champ declared at the Fat Tire Festival in September. These events are a show up for some riding and expect no prizes or refreshments. It's a BYOE kinda event (Bring your Own Everything).

Once a month Gericks will travel to an exotic Kootenay location in search of the best gravel roads our region has to offer. This is not a race nor a walk in the park. These are self shuttled (carpooling encouraged) self supported longer rides usually with a fair bit of climbing (we live in the mountains).

3 Day Clinics
We've added an advanced beginner clinic on the mornings of August 6-8th. 9-10:30 am at Morning Mountain.
And an intro to jumps evening clinic also on August 6-8th for intermediate to advanced riders. 5:30-7:30pm at Morning Mountain.

SingleTrack 6
TransRockies SingleTrack 6 event returns to the Kootenays.
On Friday July 12th they will be at Morning Mountain, and on Saturday 13th July they will be at Smallwood. Expect these trail areas to be busy until 3pm each day.

Savage Sally is becoming 🍬sweeter🍬 by the day thanks to all our volunteers and trail crew team.

Goldmember Downhill
Courtesy of the dedicated downhill crew, the league continues…
Register at the top of Goldmember at 12pm, race starts at 3pm.
Race fee is $20 + must be a 2024 NCC member
16+ due to Double Black Diamond trail rating. Parental consent required for 16-18 years of age.
Must be familiar with the track and are comfortable riding technical tracks of this nature. Pre riding the track is mandatory.
Course will be fully marked by end of day June 3rd, 2024
Apres at Cottonwood Lake. Some snacks and bevvies are provided.

Turnstyles Volunteer Day
Help us tune up the lower section of Turnstyles on June 1st for our next volunteer trail day.
Meet at the upper parking lot at Morning Mountain at 9am, or come and find us on the trail by walking up the bottom of Turnstyles. Like anything else with NCC, to get involved you've gotta have a membership.
Sacred Rides’ Glacier Fresh Enduro
The annual Glacier Fresh Bike Ride is coming up!
Sunday, May 26th, 2024,
Register at 11:00am, at the Kokanee Glacier Road Parking Lot. Race entry is $25. In addition, riders must be a Nelson Cycling Club member. Course: Rec-Trail to Hitman. BBQ and prizes at the end!
We are also looking for some keen volunteers to help us out with the event. We will need a few people in the morning for registration, course marshals, first aiders, and maybe a couple of BBQers. If you’re able to help out May 26th, please give us a call at the shop (250-354-3831), or shoot us an e-mail (info@sacredride.ca).
Volunteer Trail Maintenance FAIRLY HIGH
Meet our crew at the top of Silverking Road at 9am Thursday 16th of May for a trail maintenance session on Fairly High.
Please bring a fan rake or shovel if you have one, we’ll have extra tools available as well.
